低周波音響信号利用による微細穴検査技術:—検査に使用する周波数と検査分解能の関係— 精密工学会誌,80(11):1023-1030 2014 Author:長洲 慶典; 中山 昇; 伊東 一典; 大谷 真; 江口 穫正; Abstract:This paper presents a method for non-destructive inspecting micro-holes with diameters of less than 100μm by using audible sound. Fluid flow through micro-holes affects the performance of a product. Therefore, if the flow rate of fluid passing through micro-holes could be accurately assessed by means of an inspection system, it would be possible to guarantee the performance of the product. By using a low frequency sound in micro-hole inspection, it is possible to measure the hole diameter differences of 1μm when hole diameter is 100μm. In addition, the experimental results show that, by setting the appropriate frequency, it is possible to measure faster than conventional inspection method. 常温圧縮せん断法により成形した純Al 薄板の微細組織に及ぼす粉末粒径・形状の影響 塑性と加工,54(625):191-195 2013 Author:中山 昇; 堀田 将臣; 三木 寛之; 宮崎 孝道; 武石 洋征; Abstract:Aluminum and its alloys are used in many applications because they are lightweight. However, their usefulness would be enhanced if they were stronger. In this study, thin Al plates were fabricated by compression shearing at room temperature with the aim of controlling their mechanical properties including ductility. Mechanical strength was related to grain size by the Hall-Petch relationship. The microstructures of the samples were analyzed by X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy. They were found to have an average grain size in the range of 0.5-1 μm irrespective of the raw material used. The average grain sizes of the samples were uniform. The crystals of all the samples were oriented in the (1 0 0) direction. Keywords:aluminum; plastic working; compression shearing method at room temperature; crystal texture; powder metallurgy; grain refinement.;

Pure Ti and pure Al powders were mixed by ball milling. Mixing time was varied between 10 and 540 min. The tensile properties of the formed samples were measured. The results reveal that the Ti/Al thin plates were not mechanically alloyed. Rather, they consisted of separate Ti and Al phases. Tensile strength increased from 100 to 500 MPa when the milling time was increased from 10 to 540 min. Thin Ti/Al plates that were milled for 360 and 540 min were found to have similar tensile strength to conventional TiAl intermetallic compounds. Keywords:titanium; plastic working; compression shearing method at room temperature; crystal texture; powder metallurgy; tensile properties.;

Severe plastic deformation results in grain refinement, which produces high-strength materials. In this study, thin titanium plates were formed by compression shearing at room temperature. Grain refinement in thin Ti plates occurred upon varying shear strain. Transmission electron microscopy observations revealed that the microstructure involved grain refinement. It was found that diffusion bonding occurs upon uniaxial compaction. Compression stress and shear strain concentrated stress at bonded interfaces and subgrains formed in these stress-concentration regions. In addition, subgrain area increased with increasing shearing strain. Plastic deformation resulted in a dense, homogeneous material. Keywords:titanium; plastic working; compression shearing method at room temperature; crystal texture; powder metallurgy; grain refinement.;
純水と純アルミニウム粉末の化学反応によるアルミニウム多孔質材料の成形 日本機械学会論文集 A編,79(802):827-837 2013 Author:中山 昇; 望月 隆介; 澤本 一樹; Abstract:Porous materials have attracted attention because they exhibit a wide range of useful properties. They are mainly manufactured using either a precursor or a melting method. However, the processes involved are complicated because of the need for a primary extrusion step and the addition of a pore-forming agent. Also, because of the large amount of energy required for the sintering step, these methods represent a large environmental burden. To solve this problem, the present study focused on the formation of solidified porous aluminum by a reaction between pure aluminum powder and pure water, without the need for sintering. The effect of the formation temperature was investigated by measuring the amount of hydrogen released during the reaction, and the density and microstructure of the final materials. X-ray diffraction measurements and compression tests were also carried out. The results of the microstructural observations and X-ray diffraction measurements indicated that, during the reaction, a bayerite layer was formed on the surface of the powder particles. With increasing temperature, the reaction was found to start more quickly and more hydrogen was released. Furthermore, from the compression tests, the initial maximum stress, the plateau stress and the absorbed energy decreased with increasing formation temperature. The results of the present study indicated that it was possible to form highly porous aluminum using the proposed method. Keywords:Chemical Reaction; Molding Methods; Hydrogen;

The EMF started to increase as the solder wires deformed plastically and reached its maximum when necking and tensile fracture of the wires were observed. The maximum value of EMF increased linearly as the deformation speed increased. EMF generation was measured for the shear deformation of both solder wires and ball joints. The EMF maximum values for shear racture of solder joints varied according to the fracture surface conditions. These results demonstrate that the EMF method is a useful technique for evaluating the deformation of solder. Keywords:Electromotive Force; Solder Joint; Deformation; Shear Impact Test;

In this method, a tool with a shoulder and bolt-shaped tip is used. This tip rotates and plunges into the workpieces until the shoulder of the tool touches the plate surface. The rotating tool forward through the workpieces, the two plates are joined without any preprocessing. Therefore, this method is considered to have a decreased number of processes. This method was used to make lap joints, and the joint strength of the joined aluminum alloy plates was investigated using a tensile shear test. In all cases, the tool plunge rate was kept constant at 20mm/min, and the tool rotational speed was set to 765-1890r/min. The tool, which is made of SKD11, has a shoulder diameter of 10.0mm, a cylindrical tip diameter of M3-LH and a length of 4.0 mm. As a result, the workpieces are joined by frictional stir, and the maximum tensile shearing loads of all the samples in this study were more than 3.4kN, those the samples can be joined with high strength. In comparison to general metal materials, porous ones have various characteristics. As an environmental friendly method of porous aluminum production, there is molding by chemical reaction between pure water and pure aluminum powder. However, it is difficult to control vacancy properties. Then, pure aluminum fiber is attracted. The purpose of this study is to control density of porous material formed by chemical reaction between pure aluminum fiber and pure water. Pure aluminum fiber is pressed in the cylindrical mold, pure water is poured into there, and it is kept at 40℃ for 48 hours by water bath. By chemical reaction, aluminum fiber is solidified. As a result, pure aluminum reacts with pure water and the surface of aluminum fiber was coated by layer of aluminum hydroxide. Therefore aluminum fiber was fixed, it is turn out to be able to make porous aluminum by using chemical reaction. Keywords:Porous Material; Chemical Reaction;

In the solidified specimen, recrystallization is suppressed,so that nano-scale crystal grains are remaining. The hardness of the solidified specimen prepared by this process is increased relative to materials prepared by othe rmethods. The metal powders are solidified by enforced plastic flow and external heating is not required.Recently, a new high-speed,room-temperature alloying process was developed, which is termed the compression rotation shearing method at room temperature. In this study, the alloying process of Cu-Zn mixed powder using compression rotation shearing method was investigated.As a result, X-ray diffraction showed the CuZn alloy structure, while energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy observation revealed that Cu and Zn disperse uniformly. In addition, the result from electron microscope observation that Cu-Zn composite does not recrystallize which has fine crystal grains was verified. Keywords:Mechanical Engineering; Keywords List;

The friction coefficient, wear width and vickers hardness of MoS_2-dispersed aluminum composite are investigated. To examine the friction properties, friction tests were carried out by the pin-on-disk method. The pin used was made of stainless steel (SUS304), and had a spherical surface of 4 mm diameter in the head. The conditions of friction test were 0.2 N, 1.7 mm/s. The result shows the addition of MoS_2 to matrix systems reduces the friction coefficient. The method using the thermo-couple proposed in this study is combined with a conventional testing machine. Using the testing machine, both the load-deformation diagram and electromotive force were obtained at the same time. The peak value of electromotive force in tension and shearing increased linearly as the deformation speed increased. The electromotive force in shearing was smaller than the value in tension. This small electromotive force could be related to the small strain energy and results in weakness in shearing of solder joint. An electromotive force in deformation of solder part was generated and measured successfully by a thermo-couple. And its possibility as a measuring method of deformation was shown. But, there needs more detail experiment and data for making it be an effective and usable method for measuring deformation. Therefore, stress-strain curve and electromotive force were measured in tension test using solder wire sample. It was cleared that negative electromotive force occurred in elastic region as the deformation speed increased. The electromotive force turned to positive in plastic region. The peak value of electromotive force in tension increased linearly as the deformation speed increased. Keywords:Electromotive force; Deformation; Strain measurement; Thermo-couple; Solder;

The former needs the long time course, the latter causes large deformation by the load, since the Young's modulus changes small and Poisson ratio increases. For the purpose of this experimental study, using the polycarbonate, trying to reduce the days spent for the experiment and to froze the strain under the room temperature. In the industrial product, the polycarbonate used in this study is made by the extruding. Therefore, there is the residual stress. Annealing is effective measures in order to reduce the residual stress. By comparing the polycarbonate with annealing to the polycarbonate without that, the effect of annealing is confirmed.
